Liberty Hill HS Band: Summer Check-In #3
Panther Band Family,
Happy July! We cannot wait to officially welcome our new members to New Member Camp in a week.
First - Parts 1, 2, and 3 of our show are now uploaded! Please consult the link on the main page of www.lhpantherband.org to access and download those files.
I also would like to remind everyone of the Carpool Interest Form - a few families have signed up and we will continue to provide this as a resource for everyone to coordinate transportation.
What does my child need to bring to summer band?
Music and instrument (both their black binder and sheet protectors)
Sunscreen
Lunch (no students allowed off-campus for summer band)
Athletic clothing
Athletic shoes (no Converse, Vans, Crocs, flip-flops, etc.)
Hat (optional but recommended)
Sunglasses (optional but recommended)
Fanny pack (to hold your phone and your breathing tube while you are marching - you're going to want something like this!)
Cooling towel (optional but recommended)
Why are students not allowed off-campus for lunch?
Two reasons, both equally important: student safety and team-building. We will never have as much time together as we have during summer band. Eating together, getting to know everyone in our organization, building relationships, etc., will only strengthen us as a group moving forward.
We are SO excited for our program this year and cannot wait to share that with the community. (And hope to put out the official theme for the marching show soon!)
